What is Dansk Sprogskole?
Dansk Sprogskole is a free, voluntary online Danish language school. We offer videos, animations, exercises, live classes and a learning community. You can use the self-study materials at your own pace.
Is Dansk Sprogskole 100% free?
Our A0–B2 learning materials and the live classes we offer are free, with no deposit or paid upgrades. Further education at other institutions has its own admission conditions and any applicable fees.
Do I need a CPR number or live in Denmark to start?
No. You can create a free account without a Danish CPR number and study from Denmark or abroad, including before you move to Denmark. Official education at other institutions has separate eligibility requirements.
Which Danish level should I choose?
Our materials cover A0, A1, A2, B1 and B2. A0 is our label for complete beginners. Explore the course topics and choose material that builds on what you already know. Your reading, listening, speaking and writing may be at different levels.
Does a free account give me a place in a live class?
No. Live classes require separate registration. Check the current class information, follow the registration instructions and wait for confirmation. If a class is full or the times do not suit you, you can use the self-study courses while you look for a suitable class.
Who teaches at Dansk Sprogskole?
Our Danish teachers include Nina, Marie and Peter, whose qualifications are described on our About us page. Live classes provide contact with a teacher and other learners; recorded materials let you practise independently between classes.
How many students have registered?
As of October 2026, more than 7,000 students have registered.
Does Dansk Sprogskole provide official Danish exams or certificates?
No. We provide voluntary, supplementary Danish learning. We do not conduct official Danish exams or issue official qualifications. Contact the relevant exam provider if you need Prøve i Dansk 2, Prøve i Dansk 3 or another official assessment.
How can I continue into FVU, AVU or HF?
We can help you understand the next step and contact HF & VUC. The educational institution assesses your eligibility and handles official admission, teaching and documentation. Completing one of our courses does not automatically qualify you for another programme.
Can I use the materials alongside another course?
Yes. You can use our free materials for extra practice alongside another language course. Choose the topics and exercises that support your current learning goals.
Can this help me prepare for further education in Denmark?
Our materials can support your Danish practice. Admission to further or higher education depends on the institution and your background. Ask the relevant institution about qualifications, language requirements and suitable routes.
